Our Thursday lunchtime talk series, on hold since the start of the pandemic, is returning this Michaelmas term with a series on “Faith and Music”, starting this Thursday, 20th October, with Revd Dr Jonathan Arnold from the Diocese of Canterbury (see below).

Further speakers are in the series are as follows:
- Thursday 27 October: Dr John Pusey – Tower Captain here at St Giles’ – will talk about The English Bellringing Tradition.
- Thursday 10 November : David Clifton – Artist in Residence at Wycliffe Hall, and former Director of Music at various churches in London and Knoxville, Tennessee – will talk about contemporary Christian music.
- Thursday 17 November: Fr Max Kramer – Chaplain at Keble College Oxford, and former precentor at Canterbury Cathedral – will talk about The Role of Music in Cathedral Worship.
- Thursday 24 November: Fr Peter Allan (CR) – Parish Priest, member of the Com-munity of the Resurrection, and former Head of Mirfield College – will talk about Monastic Worship and the English Plainchant Tradition.
- Thursday 1 December: Dr Andrew Gant – Stipendiary Lecturer at St Peter’s College Oxford, musician and conductor – will speak about The English Carolling Tradition across the Ages.
