I’ve driven past St Thomas’ countless times but never had the chance to go inside, so this was a wonderful opportunity. It’s a ‘chapel of ease’ to St Barnabas’ Jericho – its size and many of its ornate fittings belie the fact that it was once a major church in the area, but the changing nature of the area around it means that St Barnabas overtook it as the principal church in the parish.
