Holy Week in-person

Please note that although we are having in-person services and events throughout Holy Week, our principal Holy Week services are all online. You can view our online programme here:


Holy Communion services

These are simple, said services of 30 minutes maximum, without any preaching or music of any kind.

Please note that pre-booking is required, and there is a strict limit of six attendees at each service.

Sundays (28 March and 4 April):

  • 1:00pm at St Giles’ Church;
  • 2:00pm at St Giles’ Church;
  • 4:30pm at St Margaret’s Church;
  • 5:30pm at St Margaret’s Church.

Weekdays (Monday 29 March – Thursday 1 April):

  • 9:00am at St Margaret’s Church;
  • 10:00am at St Margaret’s Church;
  • 2:00pm at St Giles’ Church;
  • 3:00pm at St Giles’ Church.

Individual private prayer

As usual, St Giles’ Church will be open for individual private prayer from 12pm – 2pm from Monday to Friday.

There is no need to pre-book, but please be mindful that the same limit of 6 visitors at a time applies.


Praying before the blessed sacrament

There will be two opportunities to pray before the blessed sacrament at St Margaret’s Church:

  • after the Liturgy of Maundy Thursday (1 April), between 9pm and midnight;
  • before the Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday (2 April), between 12pm and 1pm.
