Every day of our lives we make intentional journeys: to school; to college; to see friends and family; to visit different places. Then this year all of these journeys stopped, we stopped. We had to stay still, some of us still have to stay still. For some of us this is hugely frustrating, for others it has meant that we still can’t do those things that we wanted to do. All our much looked forward to plans are currently on hold, and if they are going ahead, they will be very different from what we had thought it was going to be like.
For this reason, we are inviting you to inhabit this space and stillness, and to join us on a virtual journey. Over the next eight days we will be looking back at St Margaret’s pilgrimages from years ago and using some of their journeys to help us in ours. We will be focusing on some of the Christian signs and symbols which help us understand our faith at deeper levels. All these signs of life can take us beyond their tangible meaning, all are powerful and all can be found within our Christian worship and sacraments.
Each day for next week we will have a reflection, a hymn, a bible reading and a prayer on this blog. So, make a bit of time in your life, be still and reflect on what God is trying to say to you. You don’t have to use all of the resources, just pick what works best for you.
Please join us each day via instagram, facebook or twitter, or here on our website. You can also use the hashtag #PilgFromHome2020

Walk the way of kindness,
Walk the way of right,
Walk the way of wisdom,
Walk the way of light.
