You are warmly invited to the Oxford launch of Peacemaking and Peacebuilding in South Africa. The National Peace Accord 1991-1994 by Revd Dr Liz Carmichael, an active member of both St Giles’ and St Margaret’s. The launch is in-person on Monday 7 Nov 2022 at 5pm in the Larkin Room, St John’s College. All are welcome. No need to register. Jointly sponsored by DPIR and OxPeace.
Prof. Richard Caplan will chair. The author, Revd Dr Liz Carmichael, will introduce the book, with responses from Prof. William Beinart (former Rhodes Professor of Race Relatiions), Mike Wooldridge (former BBC correspondent) and Oxford-based independent mediator and trainer Felicity Steadman who worked in the peace structures under the National Peace Accord.
Drinks will be served. Books will be on sale at the launch price of £15 (cash or cheque only).
