Sunday 18 August
Twelfth Sunday After Trinity (Proper 15)
8.00am – Holy Communion at St Giles’ (said, 1662 BCP)
10.30am – Joint Benefice Holy Communion at St Giles’ (sung, Common Worship)
6.30pm – Evening Prayer at St Giles’ (said, 1662 BCP)
Almighty and everlasting God,
you are always more ready to hear than we to pray
and to give more than either we desire or deserve:
pour down upon us the abundance of your mercy,
forgiving us those things of which our conscience is afraid
and giving us those good things which we are not worthy to ask
but through the merits and mediation
of Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.

Helpers for Model Fairground Exhibition

We will be hosting the Model Fairground Exhibition on Monday 9th Sept in St Giles’ to coincide with the actual fair taking place outside. We need helpers to provide refreshments between 10.00 and 16.00. This was very successful last year and we raised much needed funds for the church. If you could give an hour of your time, provide cakes/biscuits please let us know. You can sign up on the list at the back of church, or by sending an email to mary@st-giles-church.org
We will also be providing refreshments and a quiet space on Tuesday 10th Sept, the second day of the fair, and need helpers. Please let us know if you can offer some help on this day by signing the list at the back of church or emailing mary@st-giles-church.org

Oxford Canal Festival

St Margaret’s has been given their own stall at this year’s Canal Festival on Saturday 21 September between 11am and 6pm. It’s a chance for us to let people know about what we do and to create a little reflective space in the day. We need volunteers to help run the stand. For more information or to sign up, then please contact Eva – eva@stmargaretsoxford.org
