Would you be willing to make soup for The Gatehouse? This is an initiative
which normally runs from the end of October to the end of March, and
contributors include several churches and faith groups in Oxford. The first date
they are looking at is Monday 9 March, which means it would need to be delivered to The Gatehouse by Sunday 8 March.
The following date is Monday 16 March, to be delivered by Sunday 15 March.
All you would need to do is:
- Make 2 litres of soup (more if you wish), preferably lightly seasoned so the guests can add more according to taste.
- Freeze it using a freezer bag, box or plastic milk bottle which you do not need back. The Gatehouse can provide some containers if necessary.
- List all the ingredients, along with the date of cooking and freezing and your name, including details of any allergens on the label provided.
- The soup is served in mugs, so it would be helpful if it is pureed to make it easier to serve.
Further to the details outlined above, if you are able to help, please contact Meg
Peacock (megpeacock4@gmail.com) who can provide further information, including delivery instructions and labelling.
