Vacancy: St Margaret’s Choir Director

St Margaret’s Church in north Oxford is looking for a Choir Director to help shape the next chapter of our vibrant musical life. Our all‑age, non‑auditioned choir sings to a high standard and embraces a wide and ambitious repertoire within the Anglican choral tradition. We are seeking a collaborative musician who can inspire confidence, develop singers’ skills, choose music imaginatively, and contribute to the warmth and welcome that define our inclusive, liturgical parish church.

The role includes leading Friday rehearsals, directing the choir at Sunday morning services (40 weeks per year), and working closely with clergy and our organist. This is a voluntary position with an honorarium of around £6,000 per year, offered initially for two years from 1 September 2026.
