This week we invited 7-11 year olds from our wider community to join us for three half-day workshops of singing, drama and fun.

St Margaret’s own Robert and Carol helped the children learn songs and how to interpret the scenes of a play all about Jesus’ journey into Jerusalem.

As well as having the very valuable support of Liz, Sam and Liz over the week, we also had several of our young people help out. Zahra, Will and Max designed and built the scenery (Zahra also doubled at prompt behind the scenery). Amelia and Lucy helped with costumes and Thomas controlled the AV desk.

Despite the children being from several different schools they all got on really well and worked very hard.

Today, the children performed their play for friends and family. It was excellent. All the families were so surprised at how wonderful the production was when they had only had six hours to practice.

This is something that we are definitely looking to do again in the future!
