Dear St Giles’ and St Margaret’s church families,

No doubt you will have seen or read about the ‘Raise the Colours’ movement over the summer, which culminated in the rally in London organised by Tommy Robinson a couple of weeks ago.

In lieu of a ‘proper’ vicar’s letter this week, I commend to you an article published a few days ago by Hannah Ling, social justice adviser at the Diocese of Oxford, about how we as Christians might respond.

In particular, she links to a very moving account near the bottom of her article about how one local church in Birmingham tried to bridge the conflict in their specific local context.
