Ride + Stride church #14: St Luke’s, Canning Crescent

In my increasingly pointless quest to find the most modern church in the deanery, perhaps we have a new winner! (I’m going to go home after this and look it all up).

A bit like St John’s Kidlington (I think), St Luke’s looks like it’s custom built as a flexible space. Unfortunately it’s not open right now, but looking through the windows there aren’t any chairs visible, so that in can presumably be used by various community groups during the course of the week. There must be some committed chair-putting-outers in St Luke’s congregation – local churches rely on volunteers who just get on with the quiet work of making it all keep running, many of whom I’ve seen busy at work today. Thank you, all of you!
