St Matthew’s is joined with St Luke’s, under the watchful eye of the lovely Jenni Williams. I’ve been here a few times, but it’s not open today… the church – which is probably in the “open evangelical” tradition? – has been reordered such that the congregation faces south. While my liturgical brain wants to protest in the strongest terms… I have to say, in terms of the physical space it does work quite well.
And I love their noticeboard – “Everyone is welcome here… To love the Lord and love our neighbours”. The perfect encapsulation of a parish church!
